SMS SERVICE FOR DRUG ADHERENCE

Considering of the importance of drug adherence in HIV, we have initiated reminder text service for people taking anti-HIV drugs. This helps in reducing dropout rate and increase adherence.

We compile a list of phone numbers os patients on anti-HIV medicines. With their consent, we send them text messages a day before they need to come for their lab investigations or drug refill.

How does it work?
We have a list of PLHIV phone numbers along with their CD4 and ART dates. According to their dates, helpline sends a text reminder one day before the test. We aspire to start a similar service for TB patients also.
